GPs miss vital cancer symptoms

A study by Cancer Research UK has found some people could have their cancer symptoms missed by GPs.

The UK comes near the bottom of the table for cancer survival rates in Western Europe. Lead researcher Professor Michael Coleman said: "We know many cases are being diagnosed too late and this is a major reason for our poor survival rates. Some GPs would benefit from guidance on identifying patients more successfully."
