Healey named as shadow health secretary

Ed Miliband has announced that John Healey is to replace Andy Burnham as shadow health secretary in his cabinet.

Mr Healey has been MP for Wentworth and Dearne since 1997, and has worked within the Treasury and held a position as the minister for local government. Dianne Abbott, who ran for the Labour leadership, has been given the position of shadow public health minister, while Andy Burnham becomes shadow education secretary.
