Health secretary's endless greeting on hospital loop

23rd November 2011

A continuous welcome message from Health Secretary Andrew Lansley is being projected into wards to be heard by hospital patients, it has emerged.

His face appears on bedside TVs saying that their care “really matters to me” and asking them to thank NHS staff, though the message can be turned off if patients register on the entertainment system, which gives them free radio access and TV and email services for £5 a day. The message replaces on from Labour’s health secretary Andy Burnham.
