Health visitors 'frustrated' over funding

21st November 2008

The deputy chief nursing officer "frustrated" delegates at the Unite/CPHVA conference after Health Minister Anne Keen could not attend.

Viv Bennett relayed the contents of Ms Keen's speech to the audience but did not answer questions about "funding or training places for community healthcare staff". Unite plan to stage a "day of action" on 3 December in protest over NHS staff's three- year pay contract.
