Health visitors professional body launched

A new organisation has been launched as a UK centre of excellence to support the development of high-quality health visiting practice.

The Institute of Health Visiting (IHV) aims to raise standards in health visiting and help improve public health outcomes for all children, families and communities by acting as a centre of excellence for improving capacity and capability in health visiting; setting professional standards for continuing professional development; building leadership in health visiting; and developing new ways to get key public health information to families.
