Healthier eating in the public sector

8th July 2008

Prime Minister Gordon Brown has said that a new "healthier food kite mark" will be used in public sector eating places in order to promote healthy eating.

The government is publicising the move as an element of its new food strategy. The kite mark will be given to those establishments which "meet certain criteria" including menu design and "environmentally sustainable food".
