Hearing damage on one night out

5th March 2008

The UK charity RNID has warned that nine out of 10 have experienced the first signs of hearing damage after listening to loud music on a night out.

It suggests more people should wear ear plugs to protect their hearing, without spoiling their appreciation of music, and is now launching a competition to launch fashionable earplugs. Many people are reluctant to wear them because of the way they look but the RNID hopes that may change of ear plugs look more like a fashionable accessory.
