Heart of England FT appoint Lord Hunt

Former health minister Lord Philip Hunt has been appointed the new chair of the Heart of England Foundation Trust.

Lord Hunt, who has been working with the trust since October as a non executive director, is a former chief executive of the NHS Confederation, had two spells as a health minister in the last government and was chair of the National Patient Safety Agency from 2004/05. He is currently president of the Royal Society of Public Health and chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Primary Care and Public Health.
