Helpline launched for healthcare professionals

23rd August 2010

St Elizabeth Hospice in Suffolk has set up a helpline to advise healthcare workers and the public about palliative care.

The helpline, which will be open 24 hours a day, is thought to be one of the first such lines to be launched in England. The helpline will be answered by senior nurses, who will respond to questions seven days a week. The helpline will be launched for use by the public in East Suffolk on 8 September.
