Homeopathy should not be available on the NHS

24th January 2013

Chief medical officer Professor Dame Sally Davies has criticised homeopathy as being “rubbish”, describing practitioners as “peddlers”.

She said she was “perpetually surprised” homeopathy was still available on the NHS and raised concerns that homeopaths can prescribe pills and potions to treat malaria and other illnesses. Her views, which conflict with policy of the heath service, were expressed as she gave evidence to a committee of MPs. Homeopathy, which treats or prevents disease using diluted forms of plants, herbs and minerals, is backed by Prince Charles.

"Her views, which conflict with policy of the heath service, were expressed as she gave evidence to a committee of MPs."

Yes yes, Homeopathy is "controversial". But...WHAT KIND OF EVIDENCE, WHOSE EVIDENCE is being given. Is Homeopathy, a system of medicine whose curative effects, if real (and they most certainly are) are being condemned based on the "evidence" of wrong headed double blinded placebo controlled tests which were designed for synthetic medicines of known biochemistry?? Is THAT the "evidence" used to attack Homeopathy as "rubbish".

Or is this but another example of the many-headed hyrdra of corporatist medicine... which seeks to reduce the human "resources" to little machines with oiling and the proper "anti-biotics" and "chemos" to keep them in good working order until the day when they can be sent to the discard center for "end" maintenance? Check you national government, it may already be being run by THESE 1%ER folk.

The scientific justification for nonsense about Homeopathy being a "placebo" effect is based on the cult fallacy known as "scientism" by chemist/Homepathist Lionel Milgrom. In this fallacy, holy sanctimony obeisance is given to the science "magisterium" while uneducated young "scientists" pour entire bottles of Homeopathic pills down their gullets and proclaim "I 'ad the 'ole bottle and nuttin happened !!"

ALL THIS while MD's and other health professionals of decades experience used, continue to use and will continue to use the world's most powerful system of medicine. Placebo? This thing has saved people's LIVES !!

NOTHING in it? Not according to Inflammation Research (Vol 53., p181) by researcher M. Ennis and others, repeated in international labs. An UNKNOWN curative effect is still a curative effect.
