Hospital apology for baby swap

Hospital managers have issued a public apology to two women whose babies were mixed up by mistake at Bassetlaw Hospital in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, in 2007.

A hospital spokesman said they had started to investigate what he called an "extraordinary and most unfortunate incident which we deeply regret." Two staff were disciplined by the hospital as a result of the error.
