Hospital cuts A&E sign on

11th April 2008

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital has implemented a new single sign-on framework for its busy A&E department.

It will enable clinical users to log onto all software applications using one password. The trust is using single sign-on software from Imprivata, to be installed by Enline. The aim is to reduce time spent on log-ins in A&E and if the trial proves successful, the system – which will integrate with the existing Connecting for Health smartcard technology - will then be deployed trust-wide.
