21st January 2008

The health secretary has declared that a cap should be brought in for NHS hospital parking in Scotland.

Following an independent review, the top charge will be £3 and guidance has been sent to boards in Scotland. Nicola Sturgeon said: "I hope that this guidance reassures staff, patients and visitors ... that we see fairer, more affordable schemes in place across Scotland."
