Identity Agent software launched by Microsoft

21st November 2012

Computer giant Microsoft has launched new software that will improve connectivity for NHS staff.

It has unveiled software which will enable NHS staff using modern versions of its Windows operating system to connect to the NHS Spine using NHS smartcards. Until now, only staff using Windows XP had been able to connect via smartcards to the Spine infrastructure. But the launch of Microsoft Identity Agent will now allow staff using Windows 7 or Windows 8 to do the same thing.
