Improvement Foundation launch18th May 2006
Manchester is the base of the newly launched Improvement Foundation (http://www.improvementfoundation.org), which is a small national specialised improvement team with a unique infrastructure of 11 Improvement Foundation Centres ranged across England.
It incorporates the work of the National Primary Care Development Team (NPDT), which was originally established in February 2000 to run the National Primary Care Collaborative (currently the world’s largest improvement programme). The purpose of their work is to develop capacity and capability in public services to use continued improvement methods for the benefit of service users, engaging frontline staff in quality improvement.
