Informatics Merseyside hopes to save 15% on IT

8th June 2012

A health informatics service on Merseyside is hoping to save its customers a minimum of 15% on their IT spend after signing a framework agreement with cloud computing provider SCC.

Informatics Merseyside, which has Aintree University Hospitals and Liverpool Heart and Chest NHS foundation trusts and Liverpool Clinical Commissioning Group among its customers, has revealed that SCC was named as the preferred bidder for the service last November with a framework contract signed in May. The cloud based service will be less costly than maintaining 14 local data centres.
