Information prescriptions, GPs wary

6th October 2008

A report by the Department of Health  has shown that GPs who have had involvement in "information prescription" pilots have reported less satisfaction than other staff members in the health service.

The information prescriptions service was meant to help patients to understand their conditions more clearly. However the report said only 52% were "satisfied" in comparison to 66% of "health professionals from other sectors".
