Information scrips for patients

The Department of Health wants to increase patient access to data available on NHS Choices, by adding information about cervical cancer, lung cancer, epilepsy, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

Health minister Ann Keen said: "People have always been able to have information but both the quality and quantity can vary greatly. These measures are designed to ensure that people have consistent and reliable information that allows them to be in control of their care and manage their condition better."
