Information sharing urged by WHO over coronavirus

The World Health Organisation has urged countries to share information about novel coronavirus after Saudi Arabia said development of diagnostic tests have been delayed by patent rights.

Saudi Deputy Health Minister Ziad Memish said at the World Health Assembly in Geneva: "We are still struggling with diagnostics and the reason is that the virus was patented by scientists and is not allowed to be used for investigations by other scientists".
