14th March 2011

Launched in February 2009, the National Dementia Strategy set out a vision for transforming dementia services with the aim of achieving better awareness of dementia, early diagnosis and high quality treatment at whatever stage of the illness and in whatever setting.

Alistair Burns is the National Clinical Director for Dementia for England. In his first video blog he talks about the work the DH is doing around the  National Dementia Strategy and how we are building on it to improve the quality of care for people with dementia and their carers.
