iPads deployed at Great Ormond Street

12th June 2012

iPads and iMacs are in use at the cardiology department in Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust.

Mark Large, the trust's IT director, said: "Our clinicians told us that they want to use Apple technology, so it is something we are embracing. The technology is quite incredible. Our clinicians can see exactly what the heart is like, from any angle, before they start and the images they need are available to them instantly at any time. This is a classic example of how IT should be used to help front-line clinical activity."
