iSoft sells subsidiary to Capita

15th December 2010

iSoft, which is one of the main suppliers to the National Programme for IT in the NHS, has sold its iSoft Business Solutions subsidiary to British outsourcing firm Capita.

The business, which provides financial management, purchasing and e-business solutions in the UK and Ireland, and is considered a “non core” part of the iSoft, has been sold for £23.2m (AUS $37.4m) with the sale coming as iSoft struggles with adverse exchange rates, high costs, and lower revenues which are in part related to the late running of NPfIT.
