IT concerns raised by GPs

30th December 2011

Family doctors leading the move towards clinical commissioning have raised concerns that the authorisation process for clinical commissioning groups is becoming rigid and bureaucratic.

Despite concerns, most GPs surveyed by EHI Primary Care in a look ahead to 2012 said that they expected to gain authorisation next year. However, among the GPs contacted by EHI PC, some said that they had concerns about the future of GP computing when the GP Systems of Choice framework comes to an end in 2013.
