Laser treatment for blindness

6th July 2009

A new laser technique could help to put back the effects of age-related macular degeneration, which affects over 200,000 people in the UK.

The technique was created by Professor John Marshall of King's College London. "What this laser is doing is trying to treat the underlying ageing process, as it were, reset the clock so that you don't have the manifestations of visual loss," said Professor Marshall.
