Lay member sought for SACN

21st January 2013

The Department of Health is looking to appoint a lay member to the Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition (SACN).

The SACN advises health bodies in the UK about health and nutrition. The DH website said that applicants for the role "must have a good track record of communicating scientific issues to a non-technical audience, experience in the assessment and interpretation of data, and strong analytical skills. Applications are particularly sought from those with experience and expertise in working with expert committees."
