Lethal white heroin warning

2nd February 2009

The Serious Organised Crime Agency (Soca) has warned that potentially lethal white heroin is becoming more popular in the UK.

The drug is extremely dangerous because users can confuse it with cocaine and take it without realising its strength. Soca's deputy director Steve Coates said: "We're not panicking but we have noticed the re-emergence of this white heroin which virtually disappeared in the '80s and '90s."
