Liverpool theatre delays cut

28th October 2008

A wireless communications device has helped Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS trust to reduce operation waiting times.

The trust is working in conjunction with the North Mersey Health Informatics Service to use the Vocera device to help staff communicate. Chief executive Tony Bell said: "We found one of the major problems we had in the smooth running of our hospitals was poor communication between theatres and wards and this is where Vocera has made a real difference."
