Living with MS

21st August 2007

Taggart star Alison Peebles spoke to the Daily Mail about her experience of multiple sclerosis.

She had watched her father suffer and die from the disease, so when she was diagnosed in 2001 she did not tell family and friends because she initially felt like it was a "death sentence".

After treatment with LDN (low-dose naltrexone), plus oxygen therapy and regular exercise, she has seen improvements in her condition. "Though my father died of this disease, I'm hopeful that, 30 years on, things have moved on enough for me to be able to retain a better quality of life for longer" she said.
