London has best cardiac arrest survival rates

New figures have shown that London has the best cardiac arrest survival rate in the country.

Throughout 2011-12, the out-of-hospital cardiac arrest survival rate in London was 31.7%, compared to 24.4% in the East of England in second place followed by the North East at 24%, while the lowest performing South Central region where it was just 10.8%. The survival rate figures, which have been measured for the first time by all ambulance services in England, have been submitted to the Department of Health.
