Lorenzo cost to Morecambe revealed
13th December 2011Health Minister Simon Burns has estimated the cost to University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust of adopting iSoft's Lorenzo system early at £6.2 million.
The cost came out during a discussion in the House of Lords last week. Tory MP Richard Bacon asked Burns to estimate how much funding had been provided by the NHS and NHS Connecting for Health. In response Burns said £2.16 million had been given to the trust as they were an "early adopter" of the technology, and around £1.16 million had come from CfH and another £1 million "from the NHS".
