Mathematicians to develop cancer model

Researchers at Dundee University have been allocated over £1.5 million by the European Research Council to make a model to show how cancer develops in the body.

Professor Mark Chaplain, head of mathematics at Dundee, said: "One of the big challenges in addressing cancer treatment is that you can have two patients with the same kind of tumour in the same area of the body, but they will react to it completely differently."
