McAfee contract with CfH to end

8th October 2010

A document has been sent out by NHS Connecting for Health to warn trusts that they need to prepare for the end of the health service's contract with security provider McAfee.

Trusts have been told that it is not likely the contract signed two years ago with the software supplier will be resigned. The document stated: "NHS organisations should plan on the basis that the McAfee EwA will not be renewed post 31 March 2011, with existing licences being transferred to local organisations for their ongoing use."
