Mental health anti-stigma campaign

20th June 2008

NHS trusts are being encouraged to join what has been described as the biggest ever campaign to abolish the stigma attached to mental health problems.

The Moving People campaign has been funded by £18m of lottery money and £2m from Comic Relief and is a collaboration between Mind, Rethink, the Institute of Psychiatry at King's College London and Mental Health Media. Unveiled at an NHS Confederation conference, the campaign is an attempt to co-ordinate anti-stigma efforts across the country.
