Mental health coverage rise

4th April 2008

PR Week reports that press attention on the issue of mental health "more than doubled" in January and February this year.

The most recent Health Watch figures show that coverage of mental health escalated from 1,018 references in the previous two months, to 2,173. This was influenced by the Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg's comments about antidepressant prescriptions and his warning that the UK gas turned into a "Prozac nation".
