Mental health nominations sought

18th February 2009

A mental health charity is looking for people who have made an outstanding achievement in improving the lives and experiences of people with mental health problems.

Mind is seeking nominations for mental health heroes to become its Mind Champion of the Year in an award that celebrates people who have worked throughout 2008 to challenge stigma, contributing to a greater understanding of mental health issues. Last year’s champion was London GP Dr Liz Miller, who co-founded the Doctor’s Support Network.

Nominations are open until 30 March.
