Mental health social enterprise launched

31st March 2011

North East Lincolnshire mental health services has become the NAViGO Health and Social Care Community Interest Company.

The “right to request” social enterprise has split from North East Lincolnshire Care Trust Plus with the move having been approved by the Care Trust Plus, North East Lincolnshire Council and the strategic health authority NHS East Midlands. Kevin Bond, current director of mental health at the Care Trust Plus and chief executive of NAViGO, said the launch of NAViGO would put more control into the hands of staff and service users/carers through its membership.
