Mersey hospitals refuse to pay bank holiday rates

The union Unite has revealed which Mersey hospitals will not pay bank holiday pay to staff who work on the day of the Royal Wedding.

The union says workers at the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen Hospitals, Fazakerley Hospital, Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology and St Helens and Knowsley Hospitals will not be paid at a higher rate, along with  workers at NHS Wirral, Liverpool Women’s Hospital, Wirral Hospitals Trust and the Five Boroughs Partnership and Mersey Care mental health trusts.
