Microsoft joins forces with Continua Health Alliance

7th October 2010

Software giant Microsoft has joined the Continua Health Alliance.

Until now it has remained separate from the open industry coalition of healthcare and technology companies developing standards for connected personal health systems and sought to develop its own network of partners around its HealthVault personal health platform. Microsoft says its membership with Continua extends its commitment to providing organisations with options for building on, and connecting to, HealthVault and believe it "encourages continued innovation across the industry in support of consumer health and wellness".
