Mobile health unit to be launched by Vodafone

Vodafone has revealed that is to set up a new mobile health unit in Newbury to develop mobile healthcare solutions.

The initiative was announced to the Mobile Healthcare Industry Summit in London by Vodafone chief executive Vittorio Colao, who said he believed that mobile technology has a significant role to play in the provision of healthcare. He said workflows could be simplified and statistical analysis and record keeping could be improved if the right technology was made available to professional healthcare providers.
