New cancer plan consultation

11th August 2006

A coalition of 29 national cancer charities, the Cancer Campaign Group, has launched a ‘green paper’ consultation asking health professionals, patients, carers, and experts for their ideas on a second national cancer plan for England.

Campaign spokeswoman Emily Bird said: "The NHS Cancer Plan has made good progress since 2000, but needs to be updated in the face of new challenges and a changed public health environment. Through the three-month consultation we hope to identify those areas that need most attention."
