New centre for Institute of Mental Health

The Institute of Mental Health’s new £7m building in Nottingham is to be officially opened on Friday, May 25, by Dame Sally Davies, chief medical officer and chief scientific adviser at the Department of Health.

The four-storey centre at the University of Nottingham’s Jubilee Campus, is a partnership between the University of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, which aims to help transform the understanding and treatment of mental illness through research and educational activities. The new building will bring together the institute with related research programmes and organisations.
