New chief for RCGP25th November 2010
The Royal College of GPs has appointed Neil Hunt as its new chief executive.
Mr Hunt, who will succeed Hilary De Lyon in the post in January 2011, was most recently chief executive of the Alzheimer’s Society, where he helped raise the profile of the organisation and more than double its revenue from £27m to £59m. During his career he has worked at the Home Office, the Department of Education, and also spent 11 years at children’s charity the NSPCC.
