New Health Economics Unit gives CHKS clients added insight into effective intervention

16th February 2009

CHKS, the UK’s leading healthcare intelligence provider, has announced the creation of the CHKS Health Economics Unit. This follows the 2006 acquisition by CHKS of the Cardiff Research Consortium (CRC), a specialist provider of research in health economics and disease burden for the NHS and pharmaceutical companies.

The CHKS Health Economics Unit will be headed by Phil McEwan who was previously managing director of CRC.

Jason Harries, Chief Operating Officer CHKS, said: "The capabilities brought to CHKS by Phil McEwan and his team will significantly enhance the service we can offer our clients throughout all sectors of healthcare in the area of understanding the burden of illness across primary and secondary care".
