New trial for asthmatics

6th October 2008

A new trial at St Mary's Hospital in London is exploring the use of an air purification machine used at night which could help asthmatic people.

The researchers want to find 70 children aged over 7 to participate in the trial. Research nurse Heather Hanna, said: "We are really looking at not just whether their asthma improves and whether they use less medication, but also whether their sleep is better as this makes a massive difference for the parents as well as the children."
