New way to treat obesity

A study from University College London could forge the way for a new treatment for obese people by acting to prevent the expansion of the stomach.

The team found two proteins contained in cells that relaxed the gut and helped to make room for a large meal. Hypothetically, a treatment which could stop the gut from relaxing might also lessen a person's craving and "ability" to eat too much.
