Newcastle's new children's hospital

24th June 2008

Newcastle Hospitals NHS Trust has announced it will build a new 245-bed children's hospital which will be completed by 2010.

A trust spokesman said: "This is part of a major programme to transform the Newcastle Hospitals. Caring for children from just a few months old to teenagers, facilities at the 245-bed hospital range from general care for common conditions to much more complex treatment such as children's dialysis and specialist cancer care."
