NHS 24 to launch telehealth on three channels

16th October 2012

NHS Scotland's internet and phone advice service, NHS 24, has confirmed it will only launch telehealth solutions which support multiple platforms.

NHS 24 medical director Professor George Crooks spoke at the Healthcare Efficiency through Technology conference in London and said: "Scotland won’t deploy any solution that manages just one condition on telehealth. We are moving to co-production of healthcare in Scotland. We will only use three platforms - smartphones, tablets and digital television."
