NHS compensation to be paid back

A mother, who was awarded £705,000 after doctors failed to spot her unborn son had spina bifida, has been asked to pay some money back after her son died.

The compensation was awarded to care for her son until he was 10. However, he died at the age of six.

The NHS Litigation Authority now wants £375,000 returned.
