The NHS is more popular now than at any time in the last 25 years according to the National Centre for Social Research.
It found satisfaction with the NHS has continued to rise since 1997 and more than half of those who responded were “very satisfied” or “quite satisfied” with the NHS, compared to 34% in 1997 and 42% in 2000. Satisfaction with GPs was higher than any other NHS service while main areas of concern were the quality of medical treatment in hospitals and NHS dentistry.
