NHS Milton Keynes deal with ANS

4th October 2011

NHS Milton Keynes is planning to decrease the amount of servers which run its IT network by nearly 85%.

The trust has given a virtualisation contract to ANS and will reduce the number of servers held on different sites from 46 to seven. In a statement, IT network and technical manager Mark Pinner said: "The solution provides benefits such as a scalable virtualisation platform fit for current and future business growth." He added that it provided an "architecture that contributes positively to the trust’s green policy through enhanced carbon efficiency, dramatic improvements in disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities and a significant reduction in our total cost of ownership."
